The Best Thanksgiving Tureens
There is nothing like a grand tureen to turn a meal into a celebration. From timeless simplicity to antique maximalism, there is a tureen for every home on this list.
A true tureen has an opening for a soup ladle to rest on while the soup stays covered. But a covered vegetable dish (without an opening) feels special too.

Spode’s Indian Tree pattern in orange rust is the most perfect fall setting (I love it in the summertime too). It ran 1879 to 1994, and I wish they’d bring it back. In the meantime, there’s so much of it out there to collect.

Old Britain Castles by Johnson Brothers is a favorite. This is the brown multicolor. It comes in many colors, including a blue and white version. If you collect the “pink,” which is really red, there are fun holiday pieces to mix in as the season changes.
